A SPECIAL charity fun day will be held this weekend in aid of Clyde Shopmobility and Golden Friendship with hours of music planned.

The Karaoke Clowns are inviting families to join them at the Clydebank bandstand between 12pm and 4pm for a song as well as meet Mickey and Minnie, Peppa Pig, see life painting from Awestruck Art Gallery, get your faces painted, throw a wet sponge or three, and more.

Prizes in the raffle include two tickets for Neil Diamond, signed Celtic and Rangers footballs and football tickets, a tattoo voucher, kilt hire voucher, VIP bingo and more. But tickets are only on sale during the event.

Jim McLaren – one of the clowns and founder of the Golden Friendship club supporting the elderly across Clydebank – said: “This is an opportunity to let your kids get up and sing their favourite songs. Meet our wonderful characters and have your pictures taken with them.

“All monies raised from tombola and raffle will help our friends who need assistance with their daily living.

“Our aim is to take people away from isolation and integrate more with our wonderful community.”

Annamaria De Felice, of Clyde Shopmobility, added: “Come along with families and friends and help us to raise funds which will help Clyde Shopmobility to buy new equipment and organise more events for the community in West Dunbartonshire.”

A scooter or wheelchair can be booked to attend the event by calling 0141 952 1578.
