A HOUSING developer has proposed 18 new homes at the side of a former pub in Faifley.
The “semi detached and terraced two-storey houses, with associated road, footpaths and landscaping” is the same number of properties as a previous approved application last October.
The 1.3-acre land previously had consent to demolish the Doublet public house at the corner of Faifley Road and Milldam Road and Turnberry Homes has put in a fresh bid.
Public responses to the latest move - application DC17/124 - raise concerns about how the new homes will affect neighbours, traffic, lighting and a footpath running along the back of Craigs Avenue.
One resident told planners: “I do not support this proposal as we require social housing in Faifley.”
West Dunbartonshire Council will consider the application once a consultation and assessments are complete.
