The G15 Youth Project is continuing its 20th birthday celebrations by holding its D in the Park event in Drumchapel this Saturday.
There will be a whole host of activities on offer including trampolining, a scavenger hunt with a £50 voucher prize, a children’s entertainer, hair pleating, henna and face painting.
Entry is free and food, tea and coffee will also be available at the event. The youth project is a voluntary organisation based in Drumchapel, which provides support to people aged 12 to 25.
Since its establishment in 1997 it has given youngsters the opportunity to take part in activities such as paint balling, go-karting, sailing trips, as well as providing help with job interviews and finding accommodation.
Peter Divers, youth worker at the G15 Youth Project, said: “The event is a great way of bringing together and celebrating the community, and all the great projects that work for the people who live here.
“Our youths love this event as it gives them the opportunity to be part of the community in a positive way and also organise parts of the day.”
A number of organisations will also have stalls at D in the Park, including St Mark’s Church, Drumchapel-based charity Cope Scotland, Glasgow LIFE, Thriving Places and Alzheimer Scotland. D in the Park takes place on June 17 from 11am to 4pm in Drumchapel Park.
