A TALENTED mum has published an out-of-this-world debut novel...after dreaming up the intergalactic storyline in her sleep.

Elizabeth Scott is hoping the sci-fi tale, based on her night visions, will rocket to the top of the book charts.

Mirror Earthmen has been hailed as a “highly-enjoyable romantic blast through space.”

Elizabeth, who writes under the pen name of Elizabeth Stryker, said: “I randomly woke up dreaming about the storyline for Mirror Earthmen. I must have an over-active imagination.

“I have always wanted to write and, now that my daughter Kristen is at high school, I have more time to concentrate on my books.

“The reaction to Mirror Earthmen has been entirely positive. The feedback I’ve had is that it is a fun, easy read.”

Former bank worker Elizabeth, of Lapsley Avenue, Paisley, now runs her own business selling crafts - including didgeridoos - from Bali, Thailand and Australia.

Her debut novel is a tale of survival on the distant plant of Gammov – by finding the hottest women on Earth for mating.

Following a war with ferocious creatures, only 74 males of the Gammov species survive – and they look towards Earth for help.

By abducting the most beautiful women they can find during their voyage, the future of Gammov isn’t quite so bleak.

Elizabeth, 50, said: “Although morally conflicted, the men abduct some less than co-operative females from various locations on Earth.

“Drop-dead gorgeous London journalist Claire masterminds breakouts and leads an attempted revolution.

“Let’s just say some tumultuous relationships develop on board the ship en route back to Gammov.”

One review of Mirror Earthmen, released by PublishNation, states: “This sci-fi chick-lit had me hooked right from the start. The characters were described so well. The book was really well written and leaves you wanting to find out what happens next.”

With her debut novel being well received, hard-working Elizabeth is already writing the sequel, Mirror Earthmen, Tomorrow and Beyond.
