A DALMUIR woman who admitted the possession of stolen property including personal papers, laptops, a bank card, a handbag and a mobile phone has been told to stay out of trouble for the next six months.

The items were recovered by police at Lindsay McDonald’s home address in Vancouver Place after a search warrant was obtained following a report of the thefts.

McDonald, 34, admitted the reset of the papers, laptop and bank card between May 14 and July 2 last year, and the same offence relating to the other items between August 28 and 30.

Roddy Boag, defending, told Dumbarton Sheriff Court McDonald was currently the subject of a community payback order (CPO) imposed for a disorder offence which happened after the reset.

McDonald was placed under social workers’ supervision for 18 months in January and handed a three-month curfew for shouting, swearing and threatening a neighbour last September.

Mr Boag pointed out that McDonald had pleaded guilty to the charges before standing trial, thus preventing what he called “a very substantial list of witnesses” having to come to court to give evidence.

Sheriff Maxwell Hendry told McDonald: “If there is any offending by you in the next six months my mind will turn to sending you to prison – it’s as simple as that.”

McDonald will next appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on November 17.
