A BLAIRDARDIE man has admitted a charge of driving dangerously on one of Clydebank’s busiest roads.
But a special hearing is to be held to allow Joseph Jamieson’s solicitor to argue why his client shouldn’t lose his licence.
Jamieson, 46, of Keal Avenue, pleaded guilty last Thursday to a charge of driving dangerously in Kilbowie Road on September 12 last year.
The charge against him states that he drove a vehicle while its windscreen was obscured by cracked glass, its windscreen and an offside window were broken with loose glass, its speedometer was inoperable, and one of the nearside tyres had cord exposed.
Jamieson’s solicitor told Dumbarton Sheriff Court that police officers had been told his client was driving the car to a garage to have it fixed.
A “special reasons” proof will take place at the same court on June 8.
