A pensioner with dementia who had been missing from his Knightswood home since Tuesday was found last night, Police Scotland has confirmed.
Charles O’Neill, 69, was discovered in the Erskine area and has since been taken into hospital for assessment, added cops.
In a short statement, officers said: “Thanks to everyone for sharing the posts.”
On Friday, cyclists and pedestrians had been stopped on the Erskine Bridge as part of a large-scale search for Mr O’Neill this week.
He had earlier been captured on CCTV walking past Dalnottar Cemetery on the A82, Clydebank.
Officers stopped to speak to the public on the footpath on both sides on Friday to jog the memories of anyone who usually takes the route and may have seen Mr O’Neill.
