A PERSISTENT thug who repeatedly broke bail orders and was jailed for two years just weeks ago has had another 10 months added – but he will be allowed to serve them at the same time.
Ryan Rainey, of Clyde Court, Dalmuir, was sentenced on April 19 and branded a “liability” to the community by Sheriff William Hendry.
There were a number of charges dealt with at the hearing but one outstanding matter wasn’t covered.
Last week, Rainey, 29, was back at Dumbarton Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to stealing £10 worth of alcohol from the Shell garage in Great Western Road on January 1.
He also happened to be breaking his curfew at the time, breaching two bail orders from weeks earlier.
The offences were described by solicitor Kenny Clark as “symptomatic of what was going on” in the middle of other past cases.
Sheriff Gallacher, facing Rainey in the dock again, told him: “If I had seen this, I’m likely to have added to the period in custody.”
He sentenced Rainey to 10 months concurrent to the sentences ordered in April.
