A CLYDEBANK pizza shop has helped raise more than £25,000 for a charity helping teenagers battle cancer.

The shop joined forces with stores across the country to gather £27,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust’s mission of providing specialist care and support to every young person with cancer.

As part of a special online Teenage Cancer Trust charity pizza deal, more than 400 Domino’s team members have freshly hand-made and delivered 221,360 slices of pizza, equivalent to the distance between Celtic Park and Ibrox.

Graeme Tobias, from the Domino’s team, said:“It’s been a fantastic effort from everyone in the Domino’s team. over the past six months, from those hand-making pizza to those delivering it fresh to order.

“We set ourselves a target of £10,000 to raise for this charity close to our hearts and are extremely grateful to every single person who has helped us to raise this substantial sum, from our own team to everyone who has ordered through the Teenage Cancer Trust deal.

“We are thrilled to be able to help in some way through our group of stores and will continue to raise as much as we can.”
