A MAN who went missing earlier today from a bus journey with his wife has been traced safe and well.
Mario Coia and his wife were on the number 3 bus just after 12noon in Dumbarton Road, Scotstoun, heading to Silverburn.
The couple had to sit separately on the bus and Mr Coia's wife discovered he was no longer on the bus.
Because he suffers from dementia, she immediately contacted police to report him missing and officers described her as "very upset".
It was unknown when Mr Coia got off the bus or where he went but police urgently checked CCTV and worked with bus companies to try to locate the man.
Police issued a public appeal but updated it just minutes later this afternoon to confirm the man had been traced safe and well.
In a post to Facebook, Police Scotland said: "Thank you to everyone for their help, we are pleased to report Mr Coia has been traced safe and well."
