BANKIES are being invited to check out plans for the future of transport links to the town.

Proposals have been developed after the 2015 Clydebank Charrette, the consultation of residents, businesses and others on the future of the town centre.

The transport plans are meant to “improve connectivity”, said West Dunbartonshire Council, focusing on walking, cycling and public transport. There will also be a focus on links to the Queen’s Quay development.

A number of options have been set out and can be seen at Clydebank Town Hall from 9.30am to 6pm between Monday, February 27, and Friday, March 3.

On Tuesday, February 28, the event will remain open until 7pm.

Councillor Patrick McGlinchey, convener for infrastructure and regeneration, said: “The Clydebank Charrette was vital in gathering the views of the people of Clydebank when it comes to the future of their town. And now we hope to hear from residents again, specifically on the transport proposals that were developed as a result of the Charrette.”

Vice-convener Councillor David McBride added: “Continuing the theme of community engagement that was so important to the success of the Charrette, the council wants to allow residents the chance to see the proposals for transport links in Clydebank and I would encourage all residents to have their say.”
