CLYDEBANK Senior Citizens Golf Club is looking for new members in advance of the 2017 season.

Players aged 60 to 86+ of all degrees of ability meet and play twice a week at Dalmuir Municipal Golf Course for the fresh air, exercise and friendship.

The group play 12 holes and have seven competitions during the season as well as team games such as Texas Scrambles, points games such as Stableford and sweeps.

They also have a subsidised golf outing each August and a Christmas lunch in December.

Secretary Bill Russell reported: “The only downside is that some of the jokes are diabolical, but the golf is good no matter what your score.”

The club tees off between 9am and 9.30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Club fees are £40 for the year, excluding green fees or season ticket fees payable to West Dunbartonshire Council.

For more information contact secretary Bill Russell on 0141 952 1701, or 0774 024 4105, or by email on bill.russellj@ntlworld.com.

The new season starts on April 4.
