A CLYDEBANK man who repeatedly acted in a threatening or abusive fashion outside his home in the town on two separate occasions has been placed under social work supervision.

Scott Sinclair committed the offences at an address in Craigielea Road in Duntocher on March 22 and July 4 last year.

On the second occasion he attended a property uninvited and uttered offensive comments and threats of violence.

Sentence was deferred until January 12 for the preparation of a background report.

At the latest hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court, the solicitor representing 24-year-old Sinclair said the argument for supervision was “well laid out” in that background report.

“What runs through that report like a stick of rock is the word ‘immaturity’,” the agent added.

Placing Sinclair on a community payback order to last until January 2019, Sheriff William Gallacher said: “I’ve read the notes on the older case, and the sheriff was willing to give you an opportunity, but you clearly did not take that.

“You are either wilfully naïve or wilfully immature.”

Sinclair, who was said at his last appearance to now be living at his parents’ home in Charles Crescent in Drymen, was told to come back to court on March 16 for a review of the order.
