THE Scottish Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (SSPCA) is one the hunt for the owner of a cat with neurological issues who was found in Clydebank.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted last month when the black cat, who has been named Charlie, was discovered in a Parkhall garden.
He has been in the care of the SSPCA’s animal rescue and rehoming centre in Dumbarton for the last 30 days.
Centre Manager Joe McDade said, “Charlie was underweight on arrival and was rather disoriented too.
“He has had some seizures whilst in our care and is very disorientated in his movements with his hind legs, which suggests a neurological issue.
“We think Charlie has been someone’s pet as he is sociable and absolutely loves people.
“He is a black cat and is estimated to be around five to eight years old.
“Unfortunately Charlie is not microchipped so we are hoping someone will recognise him and contact us.
“We would love to reunite Charlie with his owner as he is such a loving wee guy and someone out there must be missing him.”
Anyone who recognises Charlie is being asked to contact the Scottish SPCA’s Dumbarton centre on 03000 999 999.
