WEST Dunbartonshire Council’s education services committee will hear of the progress of a new schools technology programme and plans for its development when it meets next week.
Members of the committee will be told that half the region’s pupils use OurCloud.Buzz, an online learning and teaching environment.
The programme allows staff and teachers to collaborate and share work, while also providing a secure network for pupils to complete work at home.
The council says next steps could include the introduction of a “Bring Your Own Device” network to enhance digital learning opportunities as well the advent of new technology to allow teachers to be more mobile around the classroom whilst wirelessly projecting to screens from a tablet.
