STAFF from West Dunbartonshire's Blue Triangle Housing Association are gearing up for a fundraising football tournament against fellow workers.

The event, which will take place on Friday from 12pm to 4pm at Toryglen Football Centre, will see the group face off with 15 other teams from around the country, such as Argyll and Bute and East Ayrshire, as well as as those from Quarriers, YPeople, Move On and Street Soccer, all in the name of supporting the charity as funds will go towards Blue Triangle's mission to support, accommodate and assist vulnerable homeless people achieve better lives.

The supermarket giant will also be on hand to provide snacks and drinks throughout the day and attendees will also be able to take part in a mini employability fair with the likes of Tesco, British Gas and Glasgow Kelvin College in attendance.

One Clydebank service user, Liam, said: "I'm really looking forward to it. It'll give me a chance to play football and meet possible employers but I also hope the day raises awareness of homelessness in West Dunbartonshire”
