A 32-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with a string of alleged driving offences after reports of a car crash.

Drumchapel police responded to a report of a vehicle hitting two parked vehicles around midnight on Saturday, July 23. When they arrived to Merryton Avenue, officers saw the vehicle nearby and spoke to the man.

He was arrested and charged with careless driving, driving under the influence of drugs, having no licence, no insurance, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.

The 32-year-old is alleged to have had a lock-back knife.

A 40-year-old was also charged with allegedly being in a stolen vehicle and in possession of cannabis.
