A SCOTTISH customer service firm is expected to almost double its workforce when it opens a new facility in Clydebank later this year.
Motherwell-based Ascenson already employed 400 staff, despite starting just three years ago, but is expected to raise its employee numbers to 750 initially and up to 1,000 by next year after securing a multi-million pound contract with hardware giant B&Q to provide phone, email and web services.
Work will begin on the new location for the firm, which already has contracts with Karen Millen, Oasis, Argos and Scottish Power, in October of this year.
John Devlin, managing director of Ascensos, said: "We have established a great relationshipwith Kingfisher Group and we look forward to building on this and creating a world-class facility for B&Q, their customers and our team in Clydebank.
"Ascensos has grown quickly in the last two years and this expansion in Clydebank starts another key chapter in our success story."
