POLICE are appealing for a Clydebank teenager who didn't return from Magaluf to contact them.

Gavin Callaghan, 19, was scheduled to return home on the 10pm flight from Magaluf on Friday.

It is understood he may have been in touch through social media with friends and family but officers at Police Scotland said they required confirmation from the teenager himself that he was safe and well.

Gavin did not get on a coach when it arrived to pick his group up from the Barracuda Hotel.

Sergeant Cameron Morton from Dumbarton Police Office said: “For Gavin not to return home is completely out of character and his family and friends are extremely distressed and worried about his well-being.

“Officers are carrying out enquiries to find Gavin as soon as possible but we need help from members of the public.

“I would appeal to everyone to share this appeal and if anyone has heard from Gavin, or has any information on his whereabouts, please contact officers at Dumbarton Police Office on 101.”

Gavin is described as 5ft10, of slim build, with short brown hair. It is not known what he was wearing at the time he went missing.
