A 20-YEAR-OLD man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a man with a brick “under provocation”.

Marc Morrison, of Lochgoin Avenue, Drumchapel, entered the plea on Friday at Dumbarton Sheriff Court and it was accepted by the Crown.

Morrison admitted pursuing the other man, brandishing a piece of wood at him, throwing a brick or similar at him which struck the man in the head, knocking him to the ground to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

The attack, at the A82 in Clydebank and Alsation Avenue at the junction with Onslow Road, took place on July 25 last year.

Morrison’s not-guilty plea to a second charge was accepted.

Sentence was deferred for background reports and Morrison will return to court on July 28. His bail was continued.
