A CLYDEBANK women stole a quantity of pet food, toiletries and cosmetics from a Poundland store.
Jennifer Egan, 25, of Second Avenue, Clydebank, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Thursday and admitted the offence which took place on May 11 2015.
The offence took place at the Poundland shop, Sylvania Way, Clydebank.
Sentence was deferred from a previous hearing.
Egan's defence solicitor told the court that her client was: "Under the influence of drugs at the time and taking alcohol.
"There was an addiction problem at the time but there's been no further offending. That's still the situation."
The court was also told how Egan started taking drugs and alcohol aged 12 and there had been a "deterioration, " leading to Egan having to go into local authority care, two years later, aged 14.
It was also revealed that Egan was "still using heroin" which was a "matter of concern."
The defence solicitor addressed Sheriff William Gallacher, saying: "Some intervention might be appropriate.
"I have discussed that with her and she sees the benefit of that."
Sheriff Gallacher placed Egan under a 12-month supervision order.
