A MAN who kicked off in Clydebank’s Job Centre will have to wait until August to find out his fate.

William McDonald was warned by a sheriff not to be under “the slightest illusion” that if he continues his behaviour he will end up in prison.

McDonald appeared to be sentenced for being aggressive in the Job Centre in Kilbowie Road in October last year.

Fiscal Scott Simpson told the court McDonald had appeared for an appointment at around 12.45pm on October 23.

He had “become dissatisfied” with information given by DWP staff, and started shouting loudly.

McDonald shouted: “You are all f****** a******* in here”, before being asked to leave.

He continued to shout, and the police were contacted.

A criminal justice social work report had been prepared for the court before McDonald was to be sentenced.

Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said McDonald was already subject to a community payback order, which he had been sentenced to the maximum of 300 hours.

In 10 months, McDonald, of Falloch Road, Milngavie, has only carried out 40 hours of work.

His defence said this was due to his full time job, but he had taken on part-time work to allow him to do the work.

Sentence was deferred for a complementary social work report to be undertaken, and McDonald was told to make sure he performed a “substantial” number of hours of unpaid work.

He will be sentenced on August 16.
