A CLYDEBANK shop had its window put in as an attacker attempted to set it on fire last night.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a break-in at Joe Walker's Flooring in Dumbarton Road.
Clydebank CID confirmed a window put in around 1am on Thursday morning and an accelerant was found on site.
Police tape marked off the area and an officer stood outside the shop on Thursday morning.
A large showroom window facing on to Bruce Street was broken with debris visible on the pavement outside.
Mr Walker, who has 15 years experience in flooring, opened his own shop last August and boasts a unanimous five-star rating across 78 reviews on the business's Facebook page.
Officers are investigating and asked anyone with information to call Clydebank CID on 101.
