A MOUNTBLOW man was last week jailed for five months for failing to comply with a Community Payback Order.
Julien Kennedy, 28, of Clyde Court, Littleholm Place, Mountblow, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Thursday.
He was sentenced to a community payback order after he was found in possession of a quantity of cannabis in Littleholm Place on May 14 last year.
But he did not comply with the resultant order and was hauled back to court.
His defence solicitor said: “He’s had an opportunity and did not take it.
“There was a clash between the Community Payback Order and his benefits were stopped.
“He found himself in a very difficult situation.”
Sheriff William Gallacher said: “If people do not comply, there will be consequences and there are consequences for you.
“I have revoked the order and the only option is a custodial sentence.”
Kennedy was led away to begin a five-month sentence in prison.
