A CLYDEBANK man must undertake a drug treatment and testing assessment after he broke into a car in Kimberley Street on April 21, and stole a watch, necklace, jacket and locking wheel nuts.
Martin McClymont, 36, of Melbourne Avenue, Clydebank, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Thursday for sentencing.
The case was deferred from a previous hearing.
He also stole a toaster and tools from the construction site at Kilpatrick Secondary School on April 27, while on bail from Dumbarton Sheriff Court five days earlier.
McClymont’s defence solicitor asked Sheriff William Gallacher for the assessment, saying it all happened over the week, suggesting “an unfortunate relapse” and McClymont was “embarrassed and ashamed.”
Sheriff William Gallacher told McClymont: “You’re extremely lucky to have your liberty.”
McClymont’s bail was continued in order to obtain a drug treatment and testing assessment and the case will recall on June 21.
