A MAN who appeared in court from custody has denied having a knife in his possession during an alleged disturbance in Clydebank.

Darren Gordon, 32, currently a prisoner at Low Moss, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Tuesday where he faced two charges relating to an alleged incident in Glasgow Road in Clydebank on February 2016.

It’s alleged that he shouted, swore and made violent threats, as well as being in possession of the knife without reasonable excuse or lawful authority.

Gordon was also the subject of bail conditions at the time of the incident, imposed as a condition of release from Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Christmas Eve last year.

The matter was continued to trial which is scheduled to take place on May 23.
