BIG-HEARTED pupils of Corpus Christi Primary School have raised more than £1,000 for charity.

During Lent, pupils in the school supported the SCIAF Wee Box campaign and hosted events to raise cash.

The children collected cash in the box, organised a raffle and hosted a coffee morning, ran a nail and tattoo bar at lunch time, hosted a toy sale and a Disney sing-a-long with the school choir.

Due to their efforts they raised £1,025, which the government will match, so a total of £2,050 will go towards the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund.

Patrick, P7 pupil in the Pastoral Care Group, said: “We are all so proud that the money we have raised will go towards helping families.

“SCIAF has helped bring people out of poverty, and our donations can help even more families.”
