SENTENCE has been deferred on a Clydebank woman who assaulted a police officer during a disturbance at her home.

Anne Scott, 48, of Second Avenue in the town, was due to be sentenced for two offences which took place at her home on January 27 this year.

Scott was in possession of knives when she acted in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing at police officers. She assaulted one of the police officers during the incident by pushing him on the body.

When she appeared in the dock at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week it was revealed that social work reports that had been called for were not available but this was through no fault on the part of the accused.

Sheriff Maxwell Hendry called for the reports previously called for to be prepared. The matter will now call again on May 24.
