A MOUNTBLOW woman who was caught with heroin in her possession appeared in court last week to be sentenced.
Christine Somerville, 31, of Salisbury Place, Clydebank, was back in the dock at Dumbarton Sheriff Court after sentencing had been deferred during an earlier court appearance.
When the case called on Tuesday morning, Somerville wasn’t in the court and a warrant was granted by Sheriff William Gallacher to apprehend her. However, she turned up late and the warrant was retracted.
Her solicitor Phil Lafferty apologised, saying: “She tenders her apologies, she was in the building when the case called earlier.”
Somerville had already pleaded guilty to possessing the class A diamorphine drug at Riddell Street in the Drumry area of Clydebank on August 10 last year.
Before his disposal Sheriff William Gallacher told Somerville: “It shouldn’t require screaming for us to get you here. I am prepared to bring this matter to an end. You are admonished, but I don’t want to see you appear back here again. If you do the outcome could be very different.”
