FIRST Minister Nicola Sturgeon has paid tribute to late teenager Paige Doherty.

The Scottish leader took a selfie and inserted the hashtag #PoutForPaige.

The social media drive is encouraging people to show solidarity with the 15-year-old who was killed, as well as her family.

She tweeted: "Sending all of my thoughts and condolences to Paige's family and friends. #poutforpaige"

After it was posted on the Pout For Paige group on Facebook.
