A CLYDEBANK man has appeared in court charged with an attempted murder in Drumry on New Year’s Day.
A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds at around 5.30am on January 1.
Michael McGeever, 27, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged offence.
He is accused of attempted murder, assault to severe injury and the danger of life. McGeever made no plea or declaration at his court appearance last month.
A Crown Office spokeswoman said he was remanded in custody following his court date on January 29.
He is due to appear in court again at a date yet to be confirmed.
The alleged victim was attacked in Onslow Road, near the railway bridge at Drumry Railway Station. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to his injuries.
Detectives mounted a large appeal following the incident.
