A 27-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court in connection with an alleged attack in Drumry on New Year's Day.
A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds at around 5.30am on January 1.
Detectives had launched a lengthy investigation to trace the man responsible and told the Post DNA evidence lead to a warrant that resulted in an arrest.
The alleged attacker has since appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court twice and Glasgow High Court once since the arrest on January 29.
Only today (February 8) was the press given details of the action by police.
