Last month the Salon Business Awards 2017 welcomed over 200 guests at the elite Century Club, a luxurious haven, hidden behind an expansive door on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue.

With canapés and an abundance of aperitifs on offer on the exclusive rooftop terrace, the finalists were in good spirits to celebrate the most outstanding business models, stunning salon design, first class education, strong team work and much more over the past 12 months.

As the sun went down, guests were invited downstairs to the Green Room where exposed brick walls, decorative lighting and solid wood floors created a warming atmosphere.

It was here that Joanne Charlton, publishing editor of Salon Business, introduced the awards to an excitable crowd, eager to hear who had wowed the judges.

“Each and every finalist helped to make the awards what they are today, ensuring the bar is raised year upon year. They certainly gave the judges a tough job, and now it is time to announce the awards,” said Joanne.

There were 12 categories including Best Local, Creative and Education Salon, with two bonus awards presented to one small to medium and one large salon, that shone through across all areas, including creativity and marketing.

Rainbow Room International was announced as the winners for Salon Group of the Year. Rainbow Room International salon owner and director Linda Stewart was honoured to have won this award.

She said: “This means so much to us, as a salon we are very team orientated and we are thrilled to have been recognised at these prestigious awards.”
