BIG things are on the horizon for No Fxd Abode. The four-piece Drumchapel indie band has been signed by End of the Trail Records and are set to take the nation by storm as they gear up for their first UK wide tour and their first music video.

Guitarist Martin Seawright, 25, is over the moon at the signing, however, admits that the band were taken aback when they were approached by a label executive.

"We were playing a gig in Edinburgh the night we got signed," he revealed to Livebank.

"It wasn't our best gig, we were playing to like three people, the amps were cutting out, we stopped in the middle of songs - it was terrible.

"Then after we came off stage this guy approached us and said he liked our music and wanted to sign us. We couldn't believe it.

"We are all buzzing - it's brilliant." Heavily influenced by musical heavyweights such as The Doors, Pink Floyd and Radiohead the alternative rockers, made up of vocalist and guitarist Chris Woods, bass player Lee Granger and drummer Gary Harkin, write tunes based on real life situations and encounters which offer a reflective insight into their lives and loves.

Since forming in 2009, No Fxd Abode have concentrated on recording their debut album and focusing on getting their name out on the Scottish indie scene.

They are now looking forward to taking on the challenge of filming their first ever music video and are keen to take the UK by storm.

Martin continued: "We have got so much going on at the moment it's amazing.

"We're going down to Newcastle to film our video in May and we're playing at the Great Escape Festival on May 17 too.

"We've also got a single launch and signing party in the Oran Mor on June 29. It's going to be a good night and we can't wait.

"Everyone is really excited and we're looking forward to everything that's coming up." Tickets for the Oran Mor signing party are avaliable from Tickets Scotland for 6.
