Recently one of the Post reporters covered the court case of my daughter Dani Weir and another child who cannot be named for legal reasons (‘My ordeal at hands of sex beast uncle’ — May 14).

The reporter was absolutely amazing with everyone involved in the case, we will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done throughout this harrowing ordeal.

Thanks to the reporter, Dani had the confidence to stand up and tell her story in the hope that it may well encourage other children to come forward and report problems she and the other victim encountered.

They need to know they are not alone in doing so.
