Jacko gives Gers the once over
Kilwinning Rangers 1 Clydebank 4
CLASSY Clydebank ended their miserable run of results with an emphatic win against promotion-chasing Kilwinning.
After going behind to a first half Martin McInnes own goal, the players rolled their sleeves up to win in style.
Mark Hailstones grabbed a double with two opportunist strikes before Andy Kenna scored the goal of the game with a fine finish at the end of a surging run.
Paul Allum added a fourth with a
well-taken right foot shot from inside the box to round off a great day’s work.
It was a wonderful return to winning ways for Clydebank who had Alan Jack in fine form.
The midfielder, who was made captain for the first time, had a hand in all four goals.
After the match Bankies boss Budgie McGhie said: “Normally I don’t like to single out players, especially after such a good team performance, but you have to say Jacko was magnificent.”
