LOVE it or hate it Channel 4’s Big Brother is now in full swing.

And the car crash TV show will be harder to miss for Bankies due to the presence of Mikey Hughes, who lives Parkhall.

Mikey — who is the controversial reality show’s first ever blind contestant — revealed to the nation when he entered the house that he loves doing stand-up comedy while wearing fishnet stockings. But to his neighbours in Clydebank he appears to live an almost reclusive lifestyle.

So what will the show reveal about this character?

Will he make Bankies proud or have you grimacing through your fingers as you cannot bare to watch?

Only time will tell.

So far, the weapon collecting DJ has kept a low profile.

Big Brother’s Bankie woke on Thursday morning with a keen interest in his housemates’ bottoms.

Mikey Hughes asked politely: “How’s everybody’s bum this morning?”

A little strange? Not in light of the literally shocking task the contestants had taken part in.

Two housemates had to guide a loop along a giant metal track without touching it.

If they did, the other contestants got an electric shock on their backsides courtesy of a special and ridiculous-looking suit they had to wear.

Not surprisingly it has left housemates a little tender.

And Mikey was certainly sensitive on Saturday when he kicked up a fuss about a stray needle.

Lisa found the needle which had been left on the bedroom floor by Sylvia.

Mikey said “That’s not on, I’m going to say something.”

He was concerned that the needle might end up in someone’s foot.

Jennifer offered to confront Sylvia about it as Mikey felt he might get angry about the situation.

Mikey said: “I’ll just end up losing my rag.”

His relationship with Mario has also been causing controversy amongst Big Brother fans.

Wringing out Mikey’s shorts and towel drying his hair, Mario is coming over a little patronising for some viewers.

Steph, the first contestant to be evicted, thinks Mikey would be better off without Mario.

Steph said: “I don’t feel he gelled with the group enough because he was with Mario so much.

“I know Mikey’s blind but he’s not a baby.

“He says the most funniest things at times.

She added: “When Mario isn’t there he gels with the group better.

“I think that holds Mikey back.”
